Chiang Mai's Tiger Kingdom allows you to walk into the cages and frolic with the beasts. The only guidelines are don't touch the head; don't touch the paws; don't approach her from behind. Oh yeah, and don't wear red because that might provoke the tiger. My girl Ping in 9 months old and eats only chicken. That's all the information I could get from the trainer due to the language barrier. I asked if they ever had any accidents at Tiger Kingdom. He said, "Yesterday and this morning." Gulp. For safety's sake, I hoped he hadn't understood my question.
The trainer grabbed my camera and started snapping away. I have a silly number of pictures with this tiger. I felt like a jungle model because he was telling me exactly how to pose. "Lay down and put head on tiger bum." Umm, okay. That lasted about 5 seconds before Ping turned her giant head to face my tiny head. Doesn't it look like she wants to eat me?? I changed to a standing position, better prepared to make a run for it.

Posing with a TIGER, Maureen?? please!!!! Don,t you remember what happened to Roy?
AAAAHHHHHH!!!!!! (sound of cousin still freaking out from the tiger pics on FB)
I agree with mom and barb, I can't believe you did this!! However, the jungle photo shoot sounds right up your alley. You were able to accomplish with the tiger what you couldn't with the deer at eagle rock.
This is the greatest blog entry to date. I can't believe you got to snuggle up with a tiger! I want to pet the tiger! It only eats chicken huh? And it's a known fact that "you are what you eat"' So that means the tiger is a chicken, thus is harmless.
wowowowowowow
I am basing my knowledge of kitty body language on my own ferocious 20 lb beast, but I'm pretty sure that tiger did not like you. And isn't purple kind of close to red in the color spectrum??
