When the train arrived in Surat Thani at 7am, we took a 2o minute bus ride to what seemed to be a holding cell. Then we took a 1 hour bus ride to the pier. Then we took a 3 hour ferry ride to the island of Ko Pha Ngan. We are finally here and we are loving it!

Pilgrimage to Paradise
Kelly and I baked in Bangkok for 2 days before heading to the islands for some R & R. And we worked hard to get here! As the Beastie Boys say, you gotta fight for your right to party. We took a 13 hour overnight train ride from Bangkok to Surat Thani. (It had been almost a week since my last overnight train ride... I was starting to miss them.) Of all my overnight trains, this one had the worst conditions. But as you can see from the picture below, we kept ourselves entertained.
